Our Times Tables Rock Stars were treated like celebrities this week after they topped the Spring Term league tables. With their lightning-fast multiplication and recall skills, our top-performing pupils from each key stage donned wigs, sunglasses, bandanas and metallic face paint for our termly ‘Rock Star Day,’  where they walked the red carpet to their waiting limousine and enjoyed travelling around Shipley in style.

They were waved off by their classmates, who assembled to congratulate them on their achievements.

Our Principal, Mrs Cornelius, said:

“Times Tables Rock Stars is used in thousands of schools across the world to encourage more pupils to learn their times tables and master basic mental arithmetic skills. It is wonderful to see our pupils engaging with the initiative, which promotes healthy competition and reinforces just how enjoyable learning can be, and sends the message that trying hard – and being good – at Maths is “cool.” Our Spring Term Rock Stars were treated like celebrities for the day as a reward for all of their hard work, and we hope our children are ready to rock and roll again this summer!”
